Brief Descriptions

Basic Protection
Accidental Death & Dismemberment  (Include PTD) - ADD
Public Conveyance Benefit
  - If accidental injury sustained whilst as a fare-paying  passenger on a Common Carrier, or riding in/on a lift/escalator, or within the premise of a burning public building; the sum assured under this benefit is payable in addition to Accidental Death & Dismemberment benefit.

Medical Protection (per accident)

 

Treatment Benefit (AIA Care Card services)
  - Reimbursement of medical expenses incurred during in-patient treatment (min. 6 consecutive hours of admission) as a result of accidental injury.
  - If Treatment Benefit has been fully paid in any one accident, the balance of the medical bill will be reimbursed under Medical Reimbursement (MR) for the same accident as per normal claim procedure (file & claim).
  - Value added services under AIA Care Card shall be supported by AIA Health Services Dept.
 
  Medical Reimbursement (include alternative treatment)
  - Reimburse the medical expenses incurred as in/out-patient to treat the injury sustained within 52 weeks from the date of accident.
  - In the event that further treatment is required (after first consultation by a Registered Medical Practitioner) from acupuncturist, osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapy and/or bone setter within 90 days from the date of accident, the expenses for alternative treatment are eligible for reimbursement under Medical Reimbursement up to RM 500 per accident.

Temporary Disability Income (per accident)

 

  Weekly Indemnity Benefit (optional)
  - In the event of disablement and prevented from performing the usual occupation as a result of an accident, a weekly indemnity income is payable (per accident) commencing the very first day of the disability up to 52 consecutive weeks.

Renewal Bonus
  5% increase in the sum assured of basic ADD Benefit for 10 years is applicable subject to the Policy limits.

Underwriting Limits   Enhanced Classic PA (ECPA)

1  Entry Age limit  16 years to 70 years (renewable to age 75 years)
 
2  Eligibility  Malaysians (Occ: Class 1, 2, 3 & 4)
 Foreigners (Occ: Class 1 & 2 only)
 
3  Mode of Premium
Annual, Semi-annual (x 0.51) and Monthly (x 0.085, applicable to new application only) subject to minimum modal premium of RM50/-. Monthly premium must be paid via visa/master card or MBB auto debit (2months initial cash/cheque premium + RM10/- stamp duty are required).
 
4  Level Premium  Level premium at entry age.
 
5  Sum Assured
a) An Assured can have maximum of 2 policies of Enhanced Classic PA subject to
maximum sum assured of RM2,000,000/- on per life basis. For Sum Assured
inclusive of existing PA coverage:
(a) exceeding RM1,000,000/-, Large Amount Questionnaire (LAQ) is required.
(b) exceeding RM2,000,000/-, the following documents are required:-
(i) Large Amount Questionnaire (LAQ);
(ii) Latest Form J;
(iii) Past 3 years audited Profit & Loss account;
(iv) Travel Exposure Form.
b) For non-working group, maximum sum assured per life is as follows:-
Housewife/Retiree: RM250,000/- with WI RM200/-
Student: RM200,000/- without WI coverage.
c) Normal underwriting rules apply.
 
6  Medical Exam.  N/A (except from case to case at random).
 
7  Excluded Croup
a) - Divers, deep-sea fishermen, miners, tunnellers, workers handling explosives, weapons production workers, labourers in any industry;
  - Individual engaging in naval, military or airforce service or operations or any reserve unit or armed force, work at height above 30 feet and all class 5 risks.
b)  - Pregnant women > 7 months will be postponed until 60 days after delivery.
